You're in — here's how to get the most out of it

Hi,

Now that your first lesson is in the diary, here's everything you need to know about being a VMA student — in one short document.

📘 Your VMA Welcome Pack

Five minutes to read. Saves you a lot of emails later.

Open the Welcome Pack

In case you don't read anything else…

These five things, done once, mean you'll never have to chase us about admin again.

1. Register your VMA account. Lets you book, reschedule and manage everything yourself. Sign up here — top-right corner of the page.

2. Book in the student's name. If you're booking for your child, use their name — not yours. Your teacher needs to know who they're prepping for.

3. Set your lessons to recur. Every booking system has a recurring option. Use it. It's how you hold your slot week after week without thinking about it.

4. Reschedule yourself online. Up to 36 hours before the lesson. No need to email us. Inside that window, the lesson is considered taken.

5. Singing lessons? Bring a recording device. Phones are fine. Record every lesson and use it to practise during the week. It's the single biggest difference between students who progress and students who don't.

One more thing

VMA is flexible and accessible by design — but progress depends on practice. Short and often beats long and rare. Fifteen minutes, five days a week, will outperform two hours on a Sunday. The Welcome Pack goes into a bit more detail on this.

Stuck? Just reply.

If anything in the Welcome Pack isn't clear — or you spot a glitch in how the booking system is working for you — hit reply. You'll get me directly.

Welcome aboard.
